1706'11 Day 1; Came back from CLBTC not even 24hours then went for another camp call 30 Hour Famine Camp already! Meet Nicholas at Hougang Interchange, 7.30am then took bus 74 and L.JiaYan come up the bus to meet us. Fall asleep during the trip to Ngee Ann Poly. First step is to get ourself registered then get our "HUNGRY" T-Shirts! Next step, deposit our bag and that stupid Nicholas pangseh us. We had a hard time searching for the Makan Place, man! L.JiaYan went to help me buy food then I ask Amir and his friends to come over and sit with us. The fish tastes salty and the noodle is so hard. It seems uncooked but L.JiaYan still got to eat finish, HAHA! We went to Convention Centre's Hall and waited for the briefing and wait for the Opening Ceremony. Jiayan, Amir and JorYeong was so off then make me cannot high also. All of us are deployed to different groups then we got seperated after that. My Country is Lesotho and the Family name is WELE. I damn worried later all the groupmates are scary then turned out all was quite cheerful but some was quiet. I seem to be the only one making noise :/ So in my group there's someone call Keen Soon, TianPei, Samuel, Justin, Liyi, Sheng Mei, Janah and Cheena. Im not scolding people but her name is really called Cheena! My faci's name was Charmaine and she's 21 years old, if im not wrong! All of them are from JC and Polys then only Justin and me is from Secondary. Samuel was the Head which we said, Father, and Janah is the Vice Head, Mother. TianPei, KeenSoon, Cheena, Alicia, Liyi and me went for Dialogue In The Dark. We are deployed to different groups again then there's a guy next to me call Guan Wei, also from JC but he was once in NPCC but he say he damn fail :P I didnt know the game was total darkness that you cant even see your hand or even nose. It's seriously plain darkness! Im someone that's afraid of dark and I actually have to search for materials in the dark. I was scared to hell, man! The rest of the groupmates went to "work" so they can earn money to buy water, food, education, energy bar and alot alot. That's the game for today. After that, we had group sharing and reflection then "A day in a Child's Life". We read the stories of the kids and we act like them. First story, we need be shoeshine boy/girl then clean each other's shoe. Second, we were all blind folded and used something to cuff our hand. I was brought to one side and other people and we got tied together. The feeling wasnt good at all): A 15-years-old Child Sponser, Nichole Gan, came to give us a talk about why she wants to be a child spnonser and the little girl from Mongolia came to talk to us and sing for us too. 91.3FM was live at Ngee Ann to talk about Famine Camp and even Channel News Asia is talking about it. Today was a fun day and heard that we'll be going to Orchard the next day! Suppose to go through poverty but we slept in aircon room. What a joke? Hahaha! Had a good night sleep in aircon room anyway.
1806'11 Day 2; Woke up at 6.30am then we all lie on the sleeping bag dont wanna get out! Went to wash face, brush teeth then went to Home Base first to have some briefing then went to Convention Centre again. We did Fish to Infinity at some classroom after briefing then we had to plan for fundraising for the kids then if it's a good idea, they might use it to raise fund for the kids overboard. ROMAS! (Reach Out & Make A Stand!) So we hold a bunch of posters and went to Orchard Road to ask the public members to take picture with us. We looked as if we were going for a riot! Orchard Road seems to be flooded with orange people on that day. At first, everybody was like so shy then dont dare to ask so everything push to Samuel then we start to approach the public. They thought we are going to promote some stuffs then walk away form us. At last, we managed to take lots and lots of pictures and even with a mascot of dog and a group of Europeans Students! After that, we went back to Ngee Ann Poly and had our 3rd Group Sharing and Reflection but ends up playing games. Time to go into the hall and have a closing concert! We had the Cheerleading Group from Ngee Ann, the winner of One Minute of Glory and Jack & Rai! They are so amazing and they make everybody in the hall goes high! You can see people dancing and everybody singing along together! During the count down, WELE scream and shout the loudest man! We proceed to our Home Base then we did the cheer together but was without Charmaine cause she went to take the food for us. After she come back, we did the cheer again and we video it down also! This packet of Nasi Lemak is awesomely nice and this camp is one of the best camp I've ever had and especially with all those awesome people I know in camp. Thanks for the times that you all have gave me!
